I am going to start this post with opening up to you all about some stuff. For roughly four years now I have been taking medication for my GAD (general anxiety disorder) that started to surface around the time of March 2020. At that time I was working in a grocery store running a Beer and Wine Department. I don’t need to explain more but everyone remembers 2020 for sure! I was put on the medication to help create a buffer for my brain against the anxiety that was occurring everyday.        In 2020 my friend approached me about getting back into Malifaux. I remembered playing it towards the end (at Ripples of Fate I believe). I remember really enjoying it but the group that played it moved towards 8th edition 40k so I sold all my stuff and joined them. Well, that went south because I just didn’t enjoy 40k. Therefore I sold that stuff and just got out of the hobby for a while (until my friend got me back into Malifaux).        I was immediately hooked into 3rd edition and quick

My Malifaux Love

I want to start this post off with a little story. Back in 2014 I moved to Portland, Oregon and soon after my friend got me hooked on X-Wing (I mean who doesn’t want to push iconic Star Wars ships around). I went home that night and looked up Malifaux on the internet and what I found blew my mind. A miniature game with no dice!? How does that work? A more narrative based game with very little models to assemble and paint! As a new miniatures player I had no clue what I was getting myself into with this game. What did I need to buy? How expensive is it?       After seeing that box and a few others at the game store I became very interested in Malifaux. So, I spe

I have been playing Malifaux for roughly two years now (after taking some time away from it). I am known amongst my friends as someone who doesn’t stick with one faction and just learn all the keywords. I tend to buy things I am interested in and for example a the “Woe” keyword has caught my attention for about two years now. Why has the Woe keyword caught my attention?       The first reason is that she is a classic keyword. She has been around since the first edition and has been through multiple looks from the earlier first edition sculpt, one of the first rotten harvest boxes to her title form. Which gives someone a lot of room to paint her various sculpts in a unique style.        This is second reason is because I have truly enjoyed myself while painting this keyword. I have always enjoyed painting well sculpted models and these models does not disappoint. This keyword allows one to play around with various colors, shapes, values and more while painting or coming up with a c
